Saturday afternoon on the street Santa Zenobia in the municipality of Lo Prado (Province of Santiago de Chile), for reasons that are under investigation, a man of Haitian nationality who had been seen by witnesses, leaving the scene of the crime with a bloody knife in his hand after what appeared to be a violent family dispute, was ARRESTED without resistance by the carabineers.

The man whose identity was not revealed is accused of having killed his 16-month-old nephew confirmed Deputy Commissioner Lilian Arancibia Villalobos adding that the accused had not explained until now the motives of his crime and that he seemed sane.

According to Arancibia, the accused entered Chile in 2017, had no criminal record and was pursuing legal proceedings to obtain Chilean residence.
