In a circular addressed to commercial banks and savings banks and housing, Jean Baden Dubois, the Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti, informs that from February 4, 2019, the obligatory reserve requirements denominated in Gourdeas well as reserve formation rates on liabilities denominated in foreign currencies will be modified as follows :

Reserve reserve ratios :

Commercial banks,
Passages in Gourdes: 45%;
Liabilities in foreign currencies: 51%

Savings and housing banks:
Liabilities in Gourdes: 33.5%;
Liabilities in foreign currencies: 39.5%

Non-bank subsidiaries:
Passages in Gourdes: 45%;
Liabilities in foreign currencies: 51%

Reserve accumulation rate on liabilities in foreign currencies :

12.5% in Gourdes;
87.5% in foreign currencies
