iciHaiti - Politic : ONA message to women

Friday as part of the commemoration of the International Women's Day Chesnert Pierre, the Director General of the National Office of Insurance-Viellesse (ONA), said he was happy to be able to "symbolically mark this day, emblem of the the commitment of all the active forces of the country to the struggle to ensure the full integration of women in the national development effort." He emphasizes that the issue of gender equity is intimately linked to political struggles for the defense of rights and for the social and political recovery of the most vulnerable segments of the population.

"The woman is the pillar and epicenter of all activities in society. It is essential in the life of a nation, because it is, at the same time, the wife, the mother, the sister, the grandmother," recalls Pierre Chesnert adding "for us at the ONA, this 8 March 2019 must be the occasion of a meditative stop, the moment to look back, to see the path already traveled, for weighed the progress made, through our ONAFANM, ONAPAM products offer... And we are more than determined to rationally set up social security across the country.

I am also pleased to be able to highlight one of ONA's great strengths, the presence in its ranks of at least twenty women on the Board of Directors. I look forward to counting on them on a daily basis to make ONA an institution worthy of its mission.

I humbly greet all the women of this country, in general, the brave collaborators of the ONA, regardless of their ranks, grads and qualities and in particular those who have always distinguished themselves by their love of work, their sense of responsibility and their spirit of discipline. I bow to their courage, their determination, their faith in a bright future, a future free of inequities, prejudices and conventional taboos."
