iciHaiti - Economy : Annual customs revenue, much lower than forecast

The estimate of customs tax revenue set at the beginning of the fiscal year 2018-2019 at 60 billion Gourdes over 12 months, then revised first down to 54 billion and a second time to 44 billion due to imports smaller than expected, reached end of July 2019, two months from the end of fiscal year 33.4 billion in total.

If it is true that July was a record month in terms of tax revenues (4.5 billion Gourdes) it will take more than the optimism of Romel Bell, Director General of the General Administration of Customs (ADG) in office since October 2018, to collect more than 10 billion gourdes in the next 2 months while the average monthly since the beginning of the year was only 3.3 billion.
