iciHaiti - Security : A medical center serving diabetics stoned
In a note Dr. Nancy Charles Larco, the Executive Director of the Haitian Foundation for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Diseases (FHADIMAC) launches a cry of distress explaining:

"The FHADIMAC, while open and relieving needy patients, was the target of throwing stones at its building although its assailants were informed that it was a health center. These young teenagers, carried with stones carried in their backpacks and probably led by pathfinder, under the effect of chemical substances rendering them insensitive to the scope of their actions, have persecuted against the windows of the facade of our building as if the sounds of breakage excited them more and more to continue. My employees and patients had to lie down on the ground to avoid being in the path of the stones, but the shards of glass fell to them in the face.

I protest against this state of affairs which will unfortunately not change the situation since everyone is terrorized and paralyzed by the behavior of these street masters in the absence of responsible and conscious authority to enforce or protect the lives and the property of others.

I forgive these delinquents but complains their manipulators. I do not understand that a normal human being can be so mean to satisfy his own interests by ignoring the lives of his sick brothers and sisters already plunged into adversity.

Today, FHADIMAC has been attacked.

Who will be the next one ?"
