iciHaiti - Security : 23 accidents up 27%
Garnel Michel Coordinator of the Haitian Organization Technical and Operational Services to Stop Accident (STOP-Accidents), informs us that from 30 to 6 October 2019, 23 traffic accidents (+ 27% compared to the previous week) have made at least 39 victims (-11%): 4 dead (-33%) and 33 injured (-7.8%), including several seriously.

Nazon, Delmas 33. Delmas 71, Noalles (Croix-des-Bouquets), Bombardopolis, Léogane, Kenscoff, Zone Olivier (Petit-Goâve), Chalon (Miragoâne), Limonade, Arcahaie, Morne Puilboreau among others, are the main communes and areas where these accidents were recorded.

Remember that this weekly report was made in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross. However, due to a lack of resources, the STOP-Accident organization is unable to monitor the state of health of the wounded, some of whom die as a result of their injuries and are not counted.

STOP Accidents reiterates its call for caution on our roads, and continues to ask the competent authorities to take measures to reduce the risk of accidents on the public highway. Recalling that most accidents on public roads involve motorcycle taxis
