The super-middleweight boxer, Haitian-American Patrick Day (27), who was in a coma and in critical condition since his knockout of Saturday evening at the tenth fights, on a terrible hook left of Charles Conwell he faced in the ring Wintrust Arena Chicago (Illinois) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29000-haiti-sport-the-boxer-american-haitian-patrick-day-in-coma.html passed away Wednesday following a brain injury.

It is his promoter Lou DiBella who announced the news on Twitter "Patrick Day died October 16, 2019, following the traumatic brain injury he suffered in his fight" adding that at the time of his death "He was surrounded by family, close friends and team members, including his mentor, friend and coach Joe Higgins. On behalf of Patrick's family, his team and loved ones, we are grateful for the prayers, support and love that Pat has received since his injury."
