In a note, the International Union Network of Solidarity and Struggle, which brings together more than 40 unions or international federations declares itself in solidarity with the Haitian people who fight for more social justice and democracy.

"[...] We support organizations, including Haitian trade union members of the International Trade Union Network, which are fighting against the spread of corruption and the domination of the capitalist economy in Haiti. Their struggle to bring a real democracy, coming from the Haitian people and not only bourgeois elites, is a just struggle.

[...] The history of the former slave colonies is marked by a common past, crossed by violence and blood but also struggles for freedom and equality. Recall that heroic, which allowed the Haitian people to chase the French colonial empire and create one of the first democracies of the modern world.

The member organizations of the International Union Network of Solidarity and Struggles call for support for this struggle for the emancipation of the Haitian people !"
