The Haitian Red Cross (CRH) informs us that one of its ambulances with the Red Cross logo and the Movement's flag, registered 01-01749, has received bullets fired by three individuals on a motorcycle on Sunday, November 10th. National Road #1, at the height of Courgeole (rural section of the commune of Arcahaie).

The incident occurred around two o'clock in the afternoon. The driver and the first aid attendant who were on board the ambulance were briefly restrained by the 3 armed individuals. The windows of the ambulance were broken but no injuries were reported.

The CRH recalls that it remains available to provide relief and assistance to people in difficulty in the country in accordance with its mission and the Fundamental Principles of Impartiality, Neutrality and Independence of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement .
