As part of the Certification of vocational education and training and access to the labour market (SQUAT) program aimed at improving market access and increasing the incomes of 10,000 artisans, masters and apprentices in the construction industry in the Great South region and from West ; Dikel Delvariste, Director General of the National Institute for Vocational Training (INFP) held a first meeting with his partners from the CARITAS-Switzerland Consortium.

After the presentation of the SQUAT program (launched in 2019), the discussions focused on :

  • The development and finalization of the new program in construction and public works;
  • The establishment of an executive committee working on the Validation of Acquired Professional Experience;
  • The mandate of a competent institution for the training of trainers;
  • The 10 years achievements;
  • The virtual solution for professional training.

At the end of this meeting Delvariste promised to set up a cell within the INFP which will work on the operationalization of the priorities. For its part CARITAS-Switzerland undertakes not only to finance these activities, but also to provide technical support if necessary.
