In response to the announcement of the World Food Program (WFP) to open three humanitarian corridors in Latin America and the Caribbean to extend its food assistance to the Covid-19 health crisis https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30905-haiti-news-zapping.html including a corridor based in the Dominican Republic to help Haiti, the Dominican Minister of Public Health, Rafael Sánchez Cárdenas, considers this decision as positive, which aims to transport products and supplies to Haiti via the Dominican Republic.

"This is not the first time that the Dominican Republic has served as a logistical base to reach Haitian territory with essential products and supplies, so that things are not complicated in the neighboring country," said Sánchez Cárdenas.

One of the 2 other humanitarian corridors will be located in Honduras to help the countries of Central America and the third will be located in South America.
