Yesterday Thursday, on the instruction of President Jovenel Moïse Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe toured the main prisons in the metropolitan area, to inquire more about major problems such as : prison overcrowding, undernourishment, prolonged preventive detention.

At the end of this prison tour, Jouthe said, "I will meet with the judicial authorities and human rights organizations, with a view to providing a lasting response to this decades-old situation in which people find themselves the inmates."
