Walnard Dorneval, the Minister of Defense says he is "deeply saddened" by the news of the death of Colonel Serge Bourdeau (74 years), experienced pilot, occurred at the Bernard Mews Hospital, Tuesday June 16.

"[...] Colonel Bourdeau served the military institution with honor and deserves until the last day of his life. He was commander of the Aviation Corps of the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H), a position he held with skill and discipline until 1994.

A career pilot, a graduate of the major flight schools of the sister nations of America and Europe, Colonel Bourdeau trained several pilots within the military institution. He was recently reinstated in his command with the specific mission of forming a new class of pilot officers. The death of Colonel BOURDEAU is a huge loss for the FAd'H.

On the occasion of his disappearance, I extend my deepest sympathies to his family, to the Forces Years of Haiti, to the members of the High Staff, to his classmates and to his close friends."
