Jean Baden Dubois, Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) sent to financial institutions a NOTICE dated June 30, 2020 relating to the measures relating to the cancellation of transfer fees through the Haitian Interbank Payment System (SPIH) and the limits applicable when providing financial services outside traditional branches.

NOTICE :

"The Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) advises financial institutions that :

1) The measure canceling the costs of thirty-five gourdes (HTG 35.00) relating to transfers made through the Haitian Interbank Payment System (SPIH) is maintained until September 30, 2020, in order to reduce transaction costs for customers.

2) The limits applicable when providing financial services outside traditional branches established by notice of March 19, 2020 remain in effect until September 30, 2020.

The BRH takes this opportunity to encourage financial institutions to facilitate electronic transactions.
