On Monday, as part of the Government's response to the passage of tropical storm Laura, the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) began a large distribution of dry rations in several communes in the departments of the West and the South-East. About 10,000 food kits were distributed to the victims of storm Laura, more precisely in Anse-à-Pitres (South-East); Pilgrim 1 / Tête de l'eau, Girardo, Diègue (Pétion-ville); Village Vanbeca, Zone Eddy One, Clercine 14 (Tabarre); Repatriate, Vaudreuil, Drouillard Project, Difference, Kindness, Do Rigol (Cité Soleil); Mahaotière 79 (Carrefour) and in certain localities of Petit-Goâve and Léogâne.

On Tuesday, FAES continued the distribution of food kits in several communes in the Department of the Wes t: Gressier, Léogâne, Cité Soleil and Croix-des-Bouquets.

On the same day, FAES teams went to the South-East and Nippes departments where 3,000 food kits were sent to the Departmental Emergency Operation Center (COUD) in the South-East and 1,000 others to the COUD of Nippes for distribution by the Departmental Delegations and the Civil Protection representatives of these two regions.
