iciHaiti - DINEPA : Nearly $6.5M for works in Hinche

The National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA), informs the population in general and residents of the city of Hinche in particular, that the rehabilitation and extension works of the Drinking Water Supply System (SAEP) of the city of Hinche and its surroundings will officially start Monday, September 7, 2020. A ceremony to present the work will take place on the same day in the presence of the authorities of the municipality and the Center department.

This important work is funded to the tune of nearly 6.5 million US dollars by the Bilateral Fund for Spanish Cooperation (AECID-Spain)

Breakdown of costs :

Works :

3,691,516.34 US dollars will be executed by the firm INCATEMA Consulting;

Acquisitions :

Purchases of ductile iron (FD) and high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes, hydraulic accessories ”: $ 2,386,888.76 allocated to the group of companies, consortium and association (GECA) Preble Rish SAjMSC Trading. Hydraulic equipment already on site (in Hinche) for a month;

Works supervision :

$ 371,587.33 by GECA: ETRECOjEGIS.

Technical and logistical details :

Laying of FD and HDPE pipes at the supply line: 8.5 km;

Laying of HDPE pipes at the distribution line: 57.5 km;

Total duration of works from September 2020: 12 months;

Work already carried out to date: assembly / construction of a vitrified steel tank of one thousand cubic meters (264,500 gallons of water).
