Following the recent death of retired Colonel Rémy Pierre at Saint-François de Salles hospital (Port-au-Prince), Jean Walnard Dorneval the Minister of Defense in a note of condolence present in his name and on behalf of the Ministry de la Défense, all his sympathies to his family, to the military institution and to anyone affected by this bereavement."

Recall that Colonel Rémy Pierre served the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H) and he also practiced medicine. Internist-cardiologist, he was in the officers' ward of the FAd'H military hospital.
