iciHaiti - 8113 : A free number of Covid-19 remote assistance for young students
Following the launch by the Ministry of National Education, of the Tele-medical assistance project in support of young people in schools on Thursday September 3 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-31705-icihaiti-covid-19-launch-of-the-tele-assistance-project-for-young-students.html Students across the country can from this Friday August 4 dial collect number 8113, in order to benefit from psychological and medical assistance related to COVID-19.

About thirty young people have been trained for this purpose. Sociologists, doctors, social workers, managers of social networks, these academics were recruited, following a competition. Training has been given by the association of psychologists to prepare these young people for their tasks.

During the next four months, every day, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., they will have the task of answering the calls of the young people; listen to their concerns; to provide relevant references to cases requiring medical assistance; to provide personalized psychological help to students aged 15 to 24 in distress, affected, threatened and bereaved by the pandemic and finally to inform about the real existence of Covid-19, symptoms, barrier gestures and rights victims.

Cases that appear to be the most complex will be referred either to professionals from the Haitian Psychological Association or to the network of partner doctors.
