iciHaiti - Diaspora : Inauguration of rehabilitation work on the Vieux-Bourg d’Aquin power plant
The President of the Republic inaugurated the rehabilitation and reinforcement of the Vieux-Bourg d'Aquin power plant, including the 830 Kw diesel group installed in 2002 by the local committee of the international Haitian NGO COSEVBASH (Committee to support the development of the old town of Aquin and the South of Haiti) was finally restarted, after 18 years of hiatus, to the satisfaction of the clients of Aquin, Fonds des Nègres and St Michel (South Dept.) Which will have electricity 18 hours a day according to the Head of State.

The repair work on this power station which lasted nearly 7 months, due to the scarcity of parts for the restoration, is the fruit of the efforts of the natives of Vieux-Bourg d'Aquin living in the diaspora [in particular in France] and is also the proof that everyone has a role to play in removing Haiti from underdevelopment, underlined the Head of State.

President Moïse, while thanking the diaspora for its commitment to development, invited compatriots living in Haiti and abroad to continue working together to build a better future for the youth and the country.
