The Haitian organization Technical and Operational Services for Accidents (STOP-Accidents), informs us that for the week of September 28 to October 4, 2020, 31 accidents on the national territory (+ 9.6% compared to the previous week ) https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-31916-icihaiti-weekly-road-report-28-accidents-71-victims.html made at least 82 victims (+ 15.4%): 17 deaths (+ 6% ) and 65 injured (+ 18.1%), several of them seriously.

Pèlerin 3, Delmas 91, Pétion-ville, Carrefour piste and airport, Rue 4A (Cap-Haïtien), Mombin Lataille, Péguy-ville, Rue Guerrier (St-Michel), Cazeau, Morne Tapion, Bourdon, Route Oban (Jacmel) , Fragneau-ville, among others, are the main communes and zones where these accidents were recorded.

Remember that this weekly report was carried out in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross. However, due to lack of resources STOP-Accident is unable to monitor the state of health of the injured, some of whom die as a result of their injuries and are not counted.

STOP-Accidents, reiterates its call for caution on our roads and urges the Government to strengthen prevention measures and to set up a systematic vehicle inspection service and invites road users to maintain responsible behavior to reduce the risk of accidents.
