Pradel Henriquez Minister of Communication said he was "saddened by the death of Jounalist Sem Nonor (41), which occurred on Monday October 19, 2020, at Citymed hospital (Delmas 19), following an illness courageously endured."

Henriquez recalls that "Sem Nonor was a founding member of the Haitian Association of Investigative Journalists (AHJI), Founder of the Union of Journalists of Lower Artibonite (UJBA) and co-founder of the online media InfoPro.

His participation in the last constitutive General Assembly of the AHJI, on September 26 in Pétion ville, was very noticed. He collaborated on several radio stations in St Marc. "

"[...] Minister Henriquez expresses his sympathies to the family of the deceased, to members of AHJI and to all the press."

In addition, reacting to this brutal disappearance the AHJU wrote "[...] Torn from life prematurely, Sem Nonor, leaves an immeasurable void in the life of his wife, his two children, his friends and us his colleagues. Sem Nonor was the symbol of courage, kindness, loyalty and sincerity. His sense of ethics made him a valued person and a great journalist."
