A patrol of Dominican soldiers from the Specialized Corps for Land Border Security (CESFRONT) intercepted and seized at the border with Haiti, 11 packages of marijuana weighing 110lbs in total, that Haitians were attempting to smuggle into Dominican territory.

According to a preliminary CESFRONT report, the drugs were carried on the backs of men, who fled to Haiti, without being caught, when they saw the military patrol dropping the drugs in place.

Still according to the report, CESFRONT thinks that several Dominicans are involved in this traffic and would be the final recipients...

The packages of marijuana were seized by the soldiers and handed over to the National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) for the corresponding consequences.
