Minister Mompremier recalled that these schoolgirls aged between 14 and 17 were made pregnant during the Covid-19 health crisis outside their school establishment.

An investigation was opened to identify the sexual predators responsible for these acts on minors, which according to the Departmental Initiative against Trafficking of Children (IDETTE) and the Institute for Social Welfare and Research (IBESR), are generally committed by adult men, teachers and School Directors https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32053-haiti-flash-grand-anse-40-underage-students-from-the-same-school-pregnant.html that take advantage of the vulnerability of students to sexually exploit them.
