Members of the Specialized Corps for Land Border Security (CESFRONT) arrested in the border province of Elías Piña, the driver of a truck which smuggled in 241 boxes, more than 4,000 cartons of cigarettes of 10 packets from Haiti.

According to the CESFRONT report, the driver Robenson Jean, of Haitian nationality, was driving a white Isuzu truck, registered in Haiti in which the contraband goods were located.

The operation was monitored by Luisa María de la Rosa Deputy Prosecutor, attached to Comendador the main municipality of the province Elías Piña.

The driver, the goods and the vehicle were placed at the disposal of the public prosecutor of the jurisdiction of the province for the corresponding purposes.
