On the occasion of International Women's Rights Day celebrated on March 8 around the national theme "Women's leadership for an egalitarian and peaceful future in Haiti in a world of Covid-19", the Women's Initiative team Haitians in tourism-IFTH and Sco Tour Haiti-STH are organizing between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., on Monday March 8, 2021, a conference-debate with panelists from various backgrounds : Dr Marie Nancy Charles Larco, Nelsa Marie Dominique Justal Estiverne (University), Caëlle Edmond (Pharmacist and Journalist), Dr. Cassandra Jean François, Angelie Noël (Lawyer and Businesswoman).

This day will be marked by the sale-signature of the biographical work entitled "50 Haitian women models and inspiring to discover, Tome I", prefaced by Gisèle Boigris. The funds raised will contribute to the implementation of the Center for the development and assembly of women (CERF).

In addition on March 9 at Institut Français in Haiti will be held a Conference-debates and sale-signature (of the biographical work entitled "50 Haitian women models and inspiring to discover, Tome I" between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m with as panelists :

Polyanna Domond (Journalist and businesswoman)
Renette Désir (Artist and committed woman)
Martine Isaac (Journalist)

In addition, the Ministry for the Status of Women and Women's Rights will organize a 2-day Forum on March 8 and 9, 2021 at the Hotel Montana with the participation of President Jovenel Moïse, his wife Martine, the Prime Minister, Joseph Jouthe. , members of the ministerial cabinet, representatives of the judiciary and legislative power, representatives of civil society organizations, representatives of local and international technical and financial partners. Women leaders in various fields will be honored, 2 regional forums will also be held in the Far North and in the Great South. These activities will be organized around the following themes :

  • Women, Peace and Security
  • Women and political participation
  • Covid 19
  • Violence against women and girls

In addition, Solidarite Fanm Ayisyèn (SOFA) invites you to the theatrical presentation : "E si yo te ban m pale" by Domitila Barios. Sunday March 7, 2021 at 9:30 am at Jardins Kiskeya located at rue Villemenay (Bois Verna, same room as Radio Kiskeya).
