The National Ambulance Center (CAN), communicated to us the statistical report relating to the pre-hospital care of the various emergency cases carried out during the month of February 2021.

Of the 1,144 cases handled by CAN in February 2021 (-5.6% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-33012-icihaiti-health-results-of-the-national-ambulance-center-january-2021.html ), 27.2% were obstetric emergencies, 15.6% road accidents and 16.9% miscellaneous ailments.

This report reveals that the CAN intervened in :

7 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 9 suspected cases;

53 cases of respiratory distress;

193 cases of chronic disease;

311 obstetric emergencies;

120 transfers (referrals and laboratory examinations);

110 various ailments (Malaise, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc.)

In addition, CAN intervened in 178 road accidents, 60 gunshot wounds, 67 stab wounds, 30 head injuries and 6 burns.
