The National Ambulance Center (CAN), communicated to us the statistical results relating to the pre-hospital care of the various emergency cases carried out during the month of January 2021.

Of the 1,212 cases handled by the CAN in January (-20.3% compared to December 2020), we can mention among others:

346 cases (28.5%) concerned obstetric emergencies which represent each month, the highest number, down 26.8% compared to the previous month.

208 road accident victims;

184 chronic diseases (various pathologies)

108 transfers (referrals and laboratory examinations), intervened on 132 various ailments: malaise, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc.);

20 head injuries and 16 burns

54 cases of respiratory distress;

42 cases of gunshot wounds;

As part of the Covid-19 epidemic, CAN has taken charge of 30 suspected cases and 15 confirmed cases.
