The Haitian organization Technical and Operational Services for Accidents (STOP-Accidents), informs us that for the week of March 22 to March 28, 2021, 34 accidents on the national territory (+ 200% compared to the previous week) https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-33373-icihaiti-road-report-17-accidents-at-least-54-victims.html made at least 157 victims (+ 190%) : 26 dead (+ 766% ) including 9 in a single accident https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33360-haiti-flash-truck-against-bus-at-least-10-dead-and-30-injured.html and 131 injured (+156 %) including several seriously (several trucks and public transport vehicles involved)

Petit-Goâve, Pèlerin 3, Thomonde, Kenscoff, Tabarre, Delmas 60, Delmas 70, Fort-Liberté, Soisson, Rivière-à-cheval, Canapé-vert, Aquin, Soleil antillais (Gressier), Martissant (9 and 21)... are the main communes and zones where these accidents were recorded.

Remember that this weekly report was carried out in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross. However, due to lack of financial resources STOP-Accident is unable to monitor the state of health of the injured, some of whom die as a result of their injuries and are not counted.

STOP-Accidents, reiterates its call for caution on our roads and urges the Government to strengthen prevention measures and to set up a systematic vehicle inspection service. In addition, the Organization invites road users to maintain responsible behavior to reduce the risk of accidents.
