iciHaiti - Road report : Murderous week on Haitian roads
The Haitian organization Technical and Operational Services for Accidents (STOP-Accidents), informs us that for the week of April 19 to 25, 2021, 39 accidents on the national territory (+ 16.6% compared to the previous week) https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-33524-icihaiti-road-bulletin-27-accidents-at-least-81-victims.html made at least 103 victims (+ 27.1%): 17 dead ( + 88.8%) and 86 injured (+ 8.33%) including several seriously ...

Montagne Noire, Kanifis Zone (between Bassin Bleu and Gros-Morne), Delmas 31, Vivy Mitchell, Cayes, Pétion-ville (place Boyer, route de Frères, etc...), Faustin 1er (Delmas 75), Morne Lazarre, Cap-Haitien , Léogane, Bondo (Petite rivière de Nippes), rue Pacot, Torbeck, Canaan 70... are the main communes and zones where these accidents have been recorded.

Remember that this weekly report was carried out in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross. However, due to lack of financial resources STOP-Accident is unable to monitor the state of health of the injured, some of whom die as a result of their injuries and are not counted.

STOP-Accidents, reiterates its call for caution on our roads and urges the Government to strengthen prevention measures and to set up a systematic vehicle inspection service. In addition, the Organization invites road users to maintain responsible behavior to reduce the risk of accidents.
