On May 26, 2021, units of the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) : the Intervention and Research Brigade (BRI), the Brigade for the Fight against Drug Trafficking (BLTS), the Brigade for the Fight against Vehicle Thefts (BLVV) supported by the Departmental Operation and Intervention Brigade (BOID) carried out a major operation at Croix-des-Bouquets, during which, during an exchange of fire, 2 members of the gang "Cité doudoune" were injured, including 1 fatally.

4 other individuals were arrested. They are Mickenley François, Roody Michel, Charles Jean Frantz and Joseph Honoré.

6 motorcycles, 2 vehicles (a gray-colored RAV4 and a red-colored tap tap) and a gun were also seized.

After a legal report from the justice of the peace of the Jurisdiction Me Louis Jaccius, the individuals were transferred to the DCPJ, as well as the objects seized for the rest of the legal procedures.
