The Specialized Corps for Land Border Security (CESFRONT) seized 229 gallons of fuel during two intelligence operations, which were carried out in the Province of Dajabón (Dominican Republic) intended to be sold on the black market of Haiti.

The first operation took place in Callejón, located in the La Bomba sector of this demarcation, where Angelito Rivas was arrested for transporting 177 gallons of gasoline in a Toyota Hilux truck, registration L206390, concealed in a pasture.

The detainee, vehicle and seized goods were handed over to the Batalla Sabana Larga border operations base for the corresponding purpose.

Likewise, thanks to patrols carried out near the border, the CESFRONT seized 52 additional gallons of fuel, transported by strangers, on seeing the soldiers, fled into the forest leaving their goods on the spot.

During these operations carried out in Dajabón, the institution in charge of border security, also seized 74,800 packs of Capital brand cigarettes.
