On the night of December 3 to 4, 2021, renowned journalist Jacques Price Jean died of cardiovascular problems.

Former Director General of the National Television of Haiti, TNH, Jacques Price Jean, Founder of Radio Tropicale FM, has also worked at Radio Métropole, at the Voice of America (Creole service), at Radio Haiti Inter where in the 70s and 80s, alongside Liliane and Konpè Filo, he initiated news and major reports in Creole and provided his services to several private and public companies.

A fierce defender of democratic values, Jacques Price Jean went into exile after the arrest of some journalists on November 28, 1980.

"The Ministry of Culture and Communication extends its condolences to his family, relatives, friends, as well as to members of the press in general, and, in particular, to those who knew, loved and practiced him."
