The National Ambulance Center (CAN) has communicated to us its statistical report relating to the pre-hospital care of the various emergency cases carried out during the month of November 2021.

Of the 799 cases handled by CAN in November 2021 (-24.90% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-35225-icihaiti-health-review-of-the-national-ambulance-center-october-2021.html), 41% were referrals, 27% obstetric emergencies and 8% miscellaneous ailments.

This report reveals that the CAN intervened in :

25 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);

38 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);

218 obstetric emergencies;

332 transfers (references and laboratory examinations);

64 various ailments (malaise, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc...)

In addition, CAN intervened in 49 road accidents, 5 gunshot wounds, 15 stab wounds, 16 traumas (injuries and fractures of various degrees) and 15 burn cases, as well as 23 confirmed Covid-19 cases and 10 suspected cases.

Of the 799 cases handled by CAN : 459 interventions took place in the West, 97 in Artibonite, 49 in the South, 74 in the North-West, 25 in the South-East, 59 in the North / North-East, 19 in Grand'Anse, 17 in Nippes and 0 in the Center.
