Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the National Book Directorate (DNL) took place the award ceremony for the national reading competition, summary and commentary on novels by Haitian authors...

"Reading the Book" was the theme of the first edition of this literary competition aimed at educating schoolchildren about the importance of reading and books in the quest for knowledge.

List of laureates :

#1 Laureate : Thierry Hérard Jeantiné (Collège Petit Séminaire Saint Martial de Port-au-Prince) received a laptop, a check for 100,000 Gourdes and a set of books;

#2 Laureate : Gajeska Saint-vil (Immaculate Conception College of Trou-du-Nord) received a laptop computer, a check for 75,000 Gourdes and a set of books;

#3 Laureate : Oberdine Etienne, (Lycée National de Camp-Coq, Limbé) received a laptop, a check for 50,000 Gourdes and a set of books.

Camy Dépas, the Director General of the Ministry of Culture who participated in the ceremony, took the opportunity to congratulate the DNL officials on this initiative and all the participants in this competition.
