The Governments of Haiti and the Dominican Republic, with the support of the Caribbean Export Development Agency (Caribbean Export) and the European Union (EU) have joined forces to improve the artisanal product of their respective countries through a binational training workshop.

With the participation of 12 Haitian designers and 8 Dominican designers, this training workshop aimed to improve the technical skills of jewelry designers from the two countries of the island.

Caribbean Export has trained these artisans in the adoption of new technologies for the development of their artistic creations. Improving the performance of artisans and allowing them to remain competitive in other markets by making savings through the optimization of their production capacity and identifying the difficulties that affect the quality of their artisanal production, were some of the points addressed in this workshop.
