iciHaiti - DR : Arrest of 52 Haitians who were going to go illegally to Puerto Rico

The Dominican Navy and the Naval Intelligence Service (M-2) intercepted two Mercedes Benz minibuses registered I044260 and I058677 in Miches (northeast of the Dominican Republic).
On board were 56 passengers 52 Haitians in an irregular migratory situation (including 3 minors), 4 Dominicans, as well as the 2 drivers also Dominicans, who were preparing to take the sea for a clandestine trip to the island of Puerto Rico by the Esmeralda beach according to the confessions of some passengers.
The 2 mini-buses were seized and all passengers were transferred and detained at the Dominican Navy command in the region and then transferred to the main office of the Naval Intelligence Service (M-2) in Santo-Domingo, for corresponding purposes.
