iciHaiti - Artibonite : 5 passengers of a bus kidnapped

Early Thursday, January 27 in the morning, a Patrick Coach Line bus, providing the Port-de-Paix / Port-au-Prince route was intercepted by unidentified armed individuals in the locality of Ti Boucan (commune of Gros-Morne, Artibonite Dept.)
The individuals kidnapped the 5 people who were on board the bus before fleeing with their hostages, abandoning the bus on the side of the road.
According to Jean Volney Belamin, Government Commissioner of Port-de-Paix, a police operation is underway for the release of the hostages.
