iciHaiti - DR : Graduation of 11 young Haitian scholarship holders in forest management

Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Higher Technical Institute for the Management of the Environment and Natural Resources (ITES-MARENA) of Jarabacoa in the Dominican Republic took place the graduation ceremony of 59 Dominican and Haitian students, including 28 in forest management and 31 in environmental management, in the presence of official delegations from the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources of the Dominican Republic, the Ministry of the Environment of Haiti and the Embassy of Haiti in Santo Domingo, the relatives and friends of graduates.

Of these 59 students, 11 young Haitian scholarship holders from the Ministry of the Environment of Haiti, (7 in forest management and 4 in environmental management) received their technician diploma and are ready to get to work.

James Cadet, the Minister of the Environment welcomed the cooperation between the ministries of the environment of the two Nations of the island and took the opportunity to announce that 12 new Haitian scholarship holders will start a new session on February 1st, 2022 at the ITES-MARENA of Jarabacoa.
