As part of its program of maintenance and repair of road infrastructure, the Ministry of Public Works through its Departmental Directorate of Grand'Anse, is not idle.

Despite the limited means available, the Department is working hard to try to meet the needs of the population.

Work done or in progress:

• Construction of a drainage channel in Caracoli, cleaning of the degraver in Madan Kolo;

• Reprofiling with supply of materials in Calasse;

• Reprofiling / surface preparation of concreting work on the Desormeaux / Chambellan Dame Marie road section;

• Hydraulic concrete pouring on the pavement in Bordes;

• Construction of gutters and preparation for hydraulic concrete on the Fond Rouge/Haut Calasse road;

• Earthworks, widening, preparation for the hydraulic concrete pavement at Morne Kal/ road of grand Vincent;

• Construction of Hydraulic Concrete Pavement at Bornes Road.
