On Saturday, the Specialized Land Border Security Corps (CESFRONT), with the support of members of the North Regional Directorate of the Dominican National Police, seized 38,380 packets of "Capital" brand contraband cigarettes from Haiti.

It was thanks to intelligence work carried out by members of the CESFront, two vehicles were located, a Ford jeep, Explorer model, a Toyota 4Runner, gray, which, according to intelligence, were carrying contraband goods.

Intercepted in the municipality of Imbert (prov. Puerto Plata), CESFRONT agents discovered 21,000 packets of cigarettes in the Ford jeep, and 17,380 packets in the Toyota vehicle.
