The Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) has chosen the Haitian Smeedly Saint Jean as the main referee for the match Cuba - Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (February 16, match won by Cuba 1-0) counting for the Australia / New Zealand 2023 Women's World Cup qualifiers, the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 1st edition of the 2023 Gold Cup.

Smeedly Saint-Jean, of which it was the first official release, marks the return of Haitian arbitration on the international scene after approximately two years of absence.

Ms. Saint Jean was assisted for this match by Lidia Ayala (El Salvador), Carissa Douglas (Trinidad & Tobago) and Cuban Suleimy Linares who acted as fourth referee.
