iciHaiti - Minimum wage : Demonstration of workers and vandalism, the ONA collateral victim condemns

The General Directoraten of the National Old Age Insurance Office (ONA) condemns the unfortunate incidents that occurred on February 15 in front of its central office, in Delmas 17, during the demonstration of workers in the textile sector.

Very angry and violent demonstrators caused significant damage to the premises of the ONA and vandalized several vehicles of employees of the institution, in particular breaking the windshields. Actions that caused panic among ONA employees.

The General Directorate of the ONA takes the opportunity to launch an appeal for calm and serenity to the workers and invites them to wait for the announcement of the authorities relating to the revision of the minimum wage, while reassuring them that the ONA remains at their service as part of its social security mission.
