iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : Public transport, new rates proposed
Saturday, February 19, 2022, Charles Philippe Bernoville of the Partnership & External Cooperation of the city of Cap-Haitien, informs that the Department of Social Action of the Town Hall and the Office of Mayors agree on what could be the new rates for circuits in public transport in Cap-Haitien, pending a meeting with partners including : the drivers' unions (tap-tap, taxi, tricycles, two-wheeled motorcycles, etc...), the National Police and the Departmental Business Directorate social services to establish the prices of circuits departing from Cap-Haitien to other municipalities.

Rate proposal :

1) Tap-tap, buses, vans:
Downtown Cap-Haitien to Morne-Rouge (20 gourdes).
Downtown Cap-Haitien to Vaudreuil (15 gourdes).
Downtown Cap-Haitien to Madeline (15 gourdes).

2) Tricycles (three-wheeled motorcycle):
Downtown Cap-Haitien to Morne-Rouge (25 gourdes).
Downtown Cap-Haitien to Vaudreuil (20 gourdes).
Downtown Cap-Haitien to Madeline (20 gourdes).

3) Taxi (cars, two-wheeled motorcycle):
Downtown Cap-Haitien, street zero to 90 (50 gourdes).
Downtown Cap-Haitien to Morne-Rouge (125 gourdes).
Downtown Cap-Haitien to Vaudreuil (100 gourdes).
Downtown Cap-Haitien to Madeline (100 gourdes).

For the city of Cap-Haitien, the proposal of the Department of Social Action of the Town Hall and the Office of Mayors will be discussed at the meeting on Monday, February 21, 2022.
