Two of the five puppets made during the binational artistic residency led by artists Louvenson Saint Juste and Ernst Payen (Papouche) from Haiti and Luis Rivas, from the Dominican Republic, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-35743-haiti-culture-binational-artistic-residency-success-of-the-first-activity.html came to surprise and animate the Carnival of Jacmel
These puppets, which honor recycling and the creative talents of the island, will also be worn by their creators during the carnival parades of Santo Domingo on March 7. They will also appear in a 12-minute documentary retracing the 5 days of the artistic residency, which will also be presented during a restitution and a professional meeting between members of the Carnival committees of the 2 cities, next March in Santo Domingo.
