With the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP-Haiti), the Ministry for the Status of Women and Women's Rights organized 2 workshops last week on the legal framework of violence against women and girls, including family violence with the participation of representatives of 32 municipalities in the departments of the South and Grand'Anse.

These workshops, bringing together nearly a hundred participants as part of the "Spotlight Initiative" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-35255-haiti-diplomacy-end-of-mission-of-special-envoy-daniel-supplice-in-dominican-rep.html a multi-year global partnership between the European Union (EU) and the United Nations, funded to the tune of 14 million in Haiti (2020 -2022), aimed to make recommendations for the development of avenues for legislative reform and advocacy in this area.

In addition, 1,250 young girls in the North-East department are learning in workshops to identify violence and its manifestations (physical and moral) thanks to the Spotlight Initiative.
