iciHaiti - UniQ : Restoration of paintings from the permanent collection of the Art Center
Thanks to funding from the Bank of America, the Center d'Art begins with the restoration of some of its works damaged by the earthquake of January 12, 2010.

A team from the Center d'Art (CDA) visited the Center for the Conservation of Cultural Assets (CCC) at Quisqueya University (UniQ) in charge of carrying out repair work on certain paintings in the permanent collection of the Center d'Art damaged during the earthquake of January 12, 2010 or still others which are damaged under the weight of the years.

The CCC has already restored and donated two paintings to the Centre. The CDA congratulates him for the impeccable work he has done and eagerly awaits the 10 other paintings entrusted to him.

Last year, sculptor Serge Jolimeau restored 150 cut-out irons from the Center d'Art's permanent collection. The master in the work of cut metal, delivered a job of good quality and the Art Center is proud of this son he saw begin.
