iciHaiti - PNH : Kidnapping attempt foiled

On Thursday March 24, 2022, agents from the Border Police (PoliFront) and the Intervention Brigade Against Land Insecurity (BRICIF) thwarted a kidnapping attempt near the American Embassy, on Street Romain (commune of Tabarre).

The bandits blocked by the police presence had to flee leaving behind their hostage, an employee of a commercial bank, a 12 gauge rifle with 3 cartridges and their white Kia Sportage brand vehicle.

They fled in the victim's vehicle, a blue Isuzu D-Max, registration number AA-10470.

The Coordination of Press and Public Relations of the PNH underlines "The Intervention Brigade of the Tabarre police station, the Brigade for the Fight against Drug Trafficking (BLTS), the BRICIF, the PoliFront and the Corps of Motorized Intervention Brigades (CBIM) have for some time reinforced their presence at several strategic points in the commune of Tabarre to thwart kidnappers, thus in less than two weeks several cases of kidnapping have been thwarted, hostages released and bandits mortally wounded."
