The bandits blocked by the police presence had to flee leaving behind their hostage, an employee of a commercial bank, a 12 gauge rifle with 3 cartridges and their white Kia Sportage brand vehicle.

They fled in the victim's vehicle, a blue Isuzu D-Max, registration number AA-10470.
