The National Police of Haiti (PNH) thwarted a kidnapping attempt in "Frères", at the crossroads of the Police Academy.

The kidnappers, who were in a black armored Pickup Hilux, registration AA-17409, were trying to escape with their hostage when their vehicle was intercepted by a police patrol.

The thugs preferred to abandon the vehicle and their hostage by shooting in all directions to cover their escape and avoid being arrested by the police...

Let's recall that following the multiple cases of kidnapping, the Commander-in-Chief of the National Police, Frantz Elbé had instructed the heads of the police courts, particularly in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince, to strengthen the police presence at strategic points to defeat the kidnappers.
