In a note, Jean Baden Dubois, the Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) informs the public in general, the financial sector and any interested person in particular that :

"[...] as part of its project to issue a Central Bank Digital Currency ['BITKòB' https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33343-haiti-news-zapping.html ] no technology provider has been chosen to date.

In accordance with the legislation on public procurement, the BRH is currently working on the launch of an international call for tenders which should lead to the choice of a technological solution firm.

In addition, the BRH would like to remind the public that it is the only competent authority that can provide information on the different phases of its digital currency issuance project."
