Friday, May 27 around 5:00 p.m. a 45-year-old French national was kidnapped in Port-au-Prince.

According to preliminary information, the man was about to enter his accommodation in a residential area, when several heavily armed men forced him into a vehicle before fleeing with their hostage. Information confirmed by Divisional Inspector Garry Desrosiers, Spokesperson for the National Police of Haiti (PNH).

Haitians would have tried in vain to oppose this kidnapping

The PNH did not provide any details on the identity of the victim, we only know that the man was a computer consultant who traveled regularly to Haiti for professional reasons.
